At the end of October 2011 TADAWUL All Share Index (TASI) closed at a level of 6,224.30 points, gained 111.93 points (1.83%) over the close of the previous month.
On an YTD basis TASI decreased by 5.99% (396.45 points). Highest close level for the index during the month was 6,235.64 as on 29/10/2011.
Total equity market capitalization at the end of October 2011 reached SR 1,238.42 billion (US$ 330.25 billion), increased by 1.99% over the close of the previous month.
The total value of shares traded for the month of October 2011 reached SR 118.79 billion (US$ 31.68 billion), increased by 60.43% over the previous month.
The total number of shares traded reached 4.71 billion shares during the month of October 2011 compared to 3.11 billion shares traded for the previous month, increasing by 51.57%.
The total number of transactions executed during October 2011 reached 2.97 million compared to 1.81 million trades for the month of September 2011, increasing by 63.91%.
