Nasser Al Mahmoud, Managing Director and Head of Strategic Relations at QInvest, said, "We are very proud to have won this important industry award, which is a testament to our continued leadership and innovation in the investment banking industry and specifically the global sukuk market. Whilst the volume of sukuk transactions has reduced, due to market volatility, QInvest's sukuk franchise continues to generate interest in corporate and sovereign issuers."

Sean Keating, Editor of Global Investor, said, "QInvest may be coming from a low base, but its performance in 2014 was outstanding. Revenues were up 134 percent and net profit jumped eightfold, driven largely by sukuk issuance via its investment banking arm."

QInvest previously announced the completion of its debut $200m five-year syndicated facility. The facility was in line with the bank's funding diversification and capital efficiency plan and was arranged by QInvest's key regional and international relationship banks, namely Masraf Al Rayan, Al Khaliji France and Natixis. Additionally, the bank had reported its results for the third quarter of 2015 with revenues increasing 37 percent to $78.7m and net profit rising 69 percent to $33.8m demonstrating commitment to drive growth and innovation across the business, source new opportunities, strengthen the brand and deliver positive returns.
