Senseye™, 120Hz Motion Blur-Free, Green Design Achieve Lookin' Great Lifestyle
Dubai, UAE, - BenQ officially launched today their new PQ and SQ Series, a high-end lineup of LCD TVs offering the company's finest picture quality for richer, clearer home cinema viewing enjoyment. Tailored for consumers with discriminating performance demands, the 42" SQ4231, 46" PQ4631 combine distinctive design, proprietary Senseye™ Human Vision Technology, and 120Hz Motion Blur-Free to deliver crystal-clear Full HD 1080p images and superb cinematic video performance.
6 Proprietary Techniques for Calibrating a Perfect Picture
BenQ's patented Senseye Human Vision Technology - a lifelike digital image enhancement engine satisfying the full potential of the human eye - raises the bar on visual realism to clearly set the PQ/SQ Series apart from the competition. Immaculate picture quality for all applications is innately achieved by Senseye™'s 6 proprietary techniques for calibrating a perfect picture. Senseye™ automatically adjusts the PQ/SQ Series' 500-nit brightness, 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, color hue and saturation, 3D noise reduction, and dual-trace sharpness. First, Senseye™ instantly evaluates ambient lighting conditions and viewing distance to optimize display brightness for the most comfortable, eye-strain-free visual experience and the most flawlessly-rendered picture quality. Second, Senseye™ perfects contrast by simultaneously reducing dark pixel transmittance and by dynamically adjusting backlighting. The resulting images are exceptionally rich, amazingly realistic, and multi-faceted with all subtle color variations distinctly revealed. For 100% true-to-source color accuracy, Senseye™ also adjusts saturation and hue individually for each and every primary color (red, green, blue, magenta, cyan, and yellow). Crisp, clean images are additionally made possible by Senseye™'s Dual-Trace Sharpness and 3D noise reduction. The former precisely defines contours while highlighting details; the latter eliminates distortion and blurred edges for crystal-clear definition and color purity. Lastly, Senseye™'s proprietary image algorithm achieves the perfect balance between picture quality and color optimization for an overall viewing experience that is true-to-life and wholly comfortable on the eyes.
"We worked closely with Mr. Jumpei Nakamura, CEO of the Japan Picture Quality & Technology Laboratory, to develop Senseye™'s 'golden formula' to reproduce the ideal ratio of color, brightness, contrast, sharpness, and clarity to suit human vision," said Manish Bakshi, General Manager of BenQ Middle East and Africa. "In true BenQ spirit, the PQ/SQ Series harnesses leading-edge technology into digital lifestyle products that bring the world enjoyment 'n' quality at exceptional value and uncompromised performance."
Enhanced Technologies that are Lookin' Great
The PQ/SQ Series incorporates high-performance features at an affordable price to provide a digital lifestyle that's Lookin' Great for today's budget-conscious consumer. BenQ's 120Hz Motion Blur-Free technology doubles the conventional 60Hz frame rate and uses interpolated motion compensation for seamless video quality. Movie buffs will appreciate the Series' Real Cinema Mode, which natively matches the 24fps frame rate of major motion pictures, thereby eliminating artifacts and motion jitter for lifelike action. MPEG Noise Reduction further eradicates the background noise and distortion that often accompany digital video playback. For power gamers, a lightning-fast 5.5ms response time works in sync with the high 120Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth fast action motion. And for brilliant colors that imitate the splendor of life, BenQ's true 10-bit color processing displays over one billion colors, far exceeding the standard 8-bit panels' 16.7 million colors.
In addition to breathtaking HDTV and Full HD 1080p movie experiences, the PQ/SQ Series LCD TVs adeptly fulfill all home entertainment display needs. Triple HDMI 1.3 inputs accommodate high-bandwidth and deep-color sources such as set-top boxes, gaming consoles, and Blu-ray players.
BenQ LCD TVs also feature a USB 2.0 port to accept images directly from a USB flash drive, making the TVs the ultimate panoramic digital photo frames for sharing photos and video.
Functional & Responsible Design
BenQ's deeply-rooted dedication to the environment is reflected in both aesthetic design and engineering. The grace and serenity of undulating ocean waves is captured in the fluid design of the speaker bar, appealing to the viewer's subconscious the delicate balance between Nature and man-made technology. Ecological responsibility is further proven by the Series' low power consumption demands - among the industry's lowest - as well as by the LCD TVs' physical dimensions. A slim contemporary design lends versatility in complementing any décor, while an easy-to-move light weight makes picking up and repositioning the TV easy. The PQ/SQ Series' thin form also minimizes packaging and shipping requirements, which in turn minimize the products' environmental footprint.
The new PQ/SQ models are available in Middle East and Africa from December 2009. For more information, please visit www.BenQ.co.ae
