Cairo March 13th, 2012 - Within the framework of Nestlé's continuous efforts to create shared value for the society, Nestlé Egypt inaugurated its "Dolce Successful Youth" school initiative in Baraguil, Giza. The initiative, launched on March 13th, 2012, aims at empowering the secondary school students with the life skills needed to face the challenges in their university years. It will also help them to plan for their future, setting appropriate goals and choosing the fields of study most suited to their talents and personal skills. The initiative is carried out in cooperation with Ashanek ya Baladi (AYB) Association for sustainable development.

"Dolce Successful Youth" school is a society‪-based initiative launched by Nestlé Egypt to help Egyptian secondary school youth plan for their future careers‪‪. The initiative is designed with the help of professional experts from Ashanek Ya Balady (AYB) Association. A unique education methodology will be implemented to empower youth with the required skills and information to plan for their professional lives. The initiative also aims to instill a series of values that will enable Egyptian youth to interact with the society positively. There are various components to the program of this initiative:  Planning for the future, identifying one's goals, overcoming challenges, taking initiatives, creativity, and career selection.

The initiative falls in line with Nestlé's synergistic relationship between "business" and "community". As Mr. Suresh Narayanan, Nestlé Egypt Chairman and CEO   puts it "at Nestlé, it has been our strong belief, indeed what can be called the 'soul of Nestlé', that our business will prosper only if there is a synergistic partnership with the community it seeks to serve.  We simply call it "Creating Shared Value".
Mr.Suresh added that "Egypt faces enormous economic, social and other challenges that require not only support but above all a strong sense of "community spirit" and the passionate desire for every Egyptian to make a difference." As Nestle, we celebrate "Over 100 Years" of relationship with Egyptian consumers and many of our brands share ubiquitous bonds of trust with them.

Dr.Raghda El Ibrashy from AYB also expressed her pleasure to be part of the initiative. "Our work with Nestlé on "Dolce Successful Youth" school embodies what our Association is all about; empowering youth to create a better future for themselves and for Egypt." She added "We want Egyptian youth to act proactively with society and to be creative and innovative."
