MUSCAT -- National Travel and Tourism (NTT), a part of Omani conglomerate Saud Bahwan Group has signed a landmark agreement with Sabre Travel Network Middle East (Sabre), a technology company serving travel buyers, agencies and suppliers. With this deal, NTT will now exclusively use Sabre's innovative travel technology solutions to book travel packages for its customers across the Sultanate. Sabre products including low fare shopping, business intelligence and automation tools will help NTT increase their portfolio of corporate accounts and solidify their position in Oman. NTT will also use Sabre's Web Booking Engine, an advanced internet booking tool that will help them tap into the lucrative and competitive online marketplace.

"NTT has been a loyal Sabre partner for many years and this new deal underscores our level of commitment to NTT", Daniel Naoumovitch, Sabre's Chief Executive, said. "By signing up for a complete Sabre package, NTT is well placed to improve their internal reporting structures, customer interactions, efficiency and market intelligence. Sabre has been a longstanding supporter of Oman's travel agents and believes in the Sultanate's Vision 2020, which encourages tourism-related initiatives to help diversify the economy as it moves away from oil dependency. Sabre's international know-how in the travel technology sector will help the Omani travel industry meet the challenges of catering to a truly global audience and generate considerable revenue for local TMCs," said Naoumovitch.

Shakti Ghosal, General Manager- Business Development, NTT said: "Sabre has been a true partner to NTT.

They have encouraged and supported all of our improvement efforts. A valuable ally, Sabre has helped us remain competitive in a growing marketplace like Oman. In the months to come, NTT aspires to be the top travel agency in Oman and armed with the right tools from Sabre, we are confident in our ability to achieve this goal."
