Tehran, Sept 1, IRNA - Minister of economic affairs and finance announced here Tuesday some principles for reforming the banking system.

Addressing the 26th Annual Islamic Banking Conference in Tehran, Ali Tayyebnia said the principles will be presented to the government in near future.

The minister referred to those principles as development of digital banking, review of banking equipment, development of proficiency and so forth.

To analyze and identify the problems that the banking system is dealing with, two bills on due techniques for the issue will be presented to the government, then to Majlis to be approved.

The 26th Annual Islamic Banking Conference started work here Tuesday.

The conference is to focus on the Islamic Banking Experience in the Islamic Countries such as Malaysia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Turkey, Sudan, Egypt, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan.

It will also discuss the Islamic Banking Experience in other Countries such as the United States of America, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Germany, Australia, Spain, Japan, South Africa and China.

Also, the conference will concentrate on the issues of Modes of Financing, Resource Mobilization and Services of International Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions.
