Dubai - HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), received in his office a delegation from French company Alstom. The delegation was headed by Patrick Kron, Chairman and CEO of Alstom, and Sylvain Hijazi, President of Alstom - Gulf Region.

Al Tayer welcomed the delegation, emphasising the importance of strengthening strategic cooperation between DEWA and Alstom and DEWA's desire to exchange knowledge and best practices in research and development and renewable energy markets with its partners,. He noted that DEWA works to achieve the Dubai Plan 2021, and enhance Dubai's position as a global hub for trade, finance, tourism, and sustainability.

The delegation briefed Al Tayer on Alstom's services and reviewed the company's technical capabilities. Alstom provides comprehensive products, services, and solutions for power generation, transmission, distribution networks, and smart grids.

The delegation expressed their interest in DEWA's major projects, especially energy production, transmission and renewable energy. DEWA's development projects support the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030 to diversify energy sources and reduce demand by implementing the best international practices in resource use and conservation.

At the end of the meeting, the Alstom delegation thanked Al Tayer for the warm welcome and for the chance to learn more about DEWA's work and projects.
