Washington - Iran is committed to make structural changes to achieve sustainable economic growth, Central Bank of Iran Chief Valiollah Seif said on Tuesday.

He made the remarks in a meeting with heads of central banks of Middle East and North Africa in Washington.

Irans economic growth will benefit all regional countries as well as international bodies including the International Monetary fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB), Seif noted.

He further appreciated the IMFs technical and financial support for regional countries.

CBI chief briefed the IMF officials and his counterparts on the Iranian governments policies regarding implementation of subsidy reform as well as inflation control, housing projects and unemployment programs.

Seif, heading a high-ranking delegation, left Tehran for Washington last Tuesday to attend the spring meeting of the IMF and the World Bank Group.

Each year, the annual spring and autumn meetings are held in mid-April and mid-October in Washington respectively, and every three years a member county hosts the annual summit.
