After Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan earlier this year, Ipsos is glad to announce the release of its Online Audience Panel Data for UAE. That being said, Ipsos delivers today highly accurate Online Audience Panel Data to the digital MENA industry, covering all of Egypt, KSA Jordan and UAE as well as Cookie Panel Data for ten countries in the MENA region: UAE, KSA, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Egypt and Morocco. The panel recruitment is still ongoing and will soon integrate Lebanon and Kuwait. By end of the year, Ipsos will deliver data for Algeria, Tunis, Iran and Iraq.

Thanks to its audience software 'gExplorer', Ipsos Gemius methodology provides the digital industry with internet audience metrics such as reach, page view, real users, time spent, page views composition, audience composition, affinity and many others... And by measuring Reach, unlike Unique or Cookie numbers, gExplorer allows the media industry to compare similar metrics across different media platforms and the advertisers' campaigns to ensure correct targeting.
In UAE, the offline research shows that the internet penetration across 15+years old is 50%. Out of these 70% are Males and 30% are Females. 26% are aged between 15 and 25years old, 40% are aged between 26 and 35years old and 34% are 36years old and above. Based on July data, the average time spent per visit was 18 minutes and 23 seconds. The number of average daily visitors was 750,000 individuals. Currently, the cookie panel sample size in UAE is based on 2,800 and the software panel sample size is based on 700.
Our fusion approach combines two methodologies: cookies and software panels. The cookie panel evaluates the reach of participating local websites through a monthly algorithm calculation while multinational, social network and non-scripted websites are measured through a software panel approach across individuals who downloaded the Gemius application.
The latest results showed that Facebook is the leading website in UAE with 78% reach, followed consecutively by Google, YouTube, Yahoo, Live and MSN. Dubizzle and Souq have the highest ranking among regional websites followed by gulfnews.
