The annual industrial production of public sector enterprises recorded 140.8 billion Egyptian pounds (US$15.9 billion) in fiscal year 2014-15 versus 139.8 billion pounds a year earlier, marking 0.7 percent growth.

The annual statistics book released by Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) showed that the net added value reached around 95 billion in financial year 2014-15 opposed to 114.8 billion pounds a year before, registering 17.3 percent decline.

The production volume of steel and iron industry hit 2.5 billion pounds in financial year 2014-15 compared to 2.2 billion in financial year 2013-14, making 12 percent increase.

On other side, the production volume of oil refining industry dropped by 0.8 percent to 87.7 billion pounds versus 88.4 billion pounds a year before.

The book stated that production of oil and natural gas drilling sector hit around 3.3 billion pounds in fiscal year 2014-15 opposed to 3.6 billion pounds in previous year with the drop of 5.9 percent.
