The Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) has begun work on the new annual edition of the "Gulf Statistical Profile of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) 2010" series, which is one of the most important sources of information in the region. The new edition will be released by end of 2011.
The team kicked-off work as it began preparing and researching data for the profile as well as opening ads for the new edition, to ensure the profile contains all updated and reliable data, and economic and social indicators for the GCC countries.
The profile includes economic and social indicators selected for 2009-2010 and a set of national accounts data, government budgets, commercial and industrial loans. It also includes data on foreign trade, including exports and imports of the GCC countries, indexed by commodity category and by country and groups of countries, as well as energy and industry data, including tables of production, export and consumption of oil and gas as well as electrical energy consumption. The downstream industries database features data for industry in the GCC countries derived from the Gulf industrial database, in addition to consumed water agenda.
Among other important data contained in the Gulf Statistical Profile is that on population and workforce, in addition to various social data such as statistics, transport, communications, health and education in the GCC countries.
GOIC has relied on a number of specialized databases such as economic, social and Gulf industries databases. GOIC conducts continuous updating of those databases depending on data received directly from industrial plants, national statistical offices as well as statistical publications of the United Nations and other regional and international organizations.
The Gulf Statistical Profile receives great attention from officials in both public and private sectors, and experts and researchers in the field of industrial and economic development in the GCC. The profile is characterized by rich, accurate and clear data.
