Delivery of equivalence certificates within 48 hours
Dubai, February 10, 2011: Empost, the leading national player in the field of courier services, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to provide its 'Tawseel' service in the delivery of equivalence certificates, starting 1st of February, 2011, to enable the delivery of completed certificates issued by institutions from outside the UAE submitted to the Ministry.
The two sides also signed another agreement covering the provision of the service collection of educational certificates from the customers, submission to the Ministry and delivery back to the customer. This will be done through special envelopes which will be available through the offices of Empost across the country, with effect from 1 March 2011.
The agreement was signed by Sultan Al Midfa, CEO of Empost and Saif Rashid Al Mazrouei, Assistant Undersecretary for institutional services and support in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Commenting on the agreement, Al Midfa said: "Empost will ensure that the highest standards of quality and excellence are offered to Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its customers. The most significant part of the agreement is that applicants will not be required to visit the Ministry to submit their documents. The work of collecting, submitting and delivery will be handled by Empost, giving peace of mind to the Ministry's customers and easing the pressure on the Ministry's headquarters in Abu Dhabi."
HE Mazrouei said the agreement was part of the implementation of the Ministry's Strategic Plan in its quest to provide best services to the people. "The high standards of Empost services have prompted us to entrust to them with the job of acting as a middle man in the certificate equivalence collection and delivery. We are confident that Empost will be able to deliver speedy and efficient services through a network of offices and state of the art systems."
In addition to the agreement with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Empost has signed many such agreements with different federal and local departments, in the field of courier services, in addition to agreements with diplomatic missions to handle the collection and delivery of passports and consular documents across the UAE.
