ENOC was main sponsor of the 2nd GCC Government Corporate & Media Communication Competitiveness Development Conference

Dubai, UAE; February 29, 2012: Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) highlighted its commitment to promoting best practices in communications and public relations as part of its outreach to all stakeholders, through its sponsorship support to the second GCC Government Corporate & Media Communication Competitiveness Development Conference.

Held on February 28 and 29, 2012, the event put the spotlight on effective communications in the digital era, and also featured a special awards ceremony that acknowledged excellence in media and public relations in the region.

The two-day event engaged key players to share best practices to transform and develop an effective approach in delivering key messages to the public, and thus strengthen the competitiveness of the organisation.

The conference served as a platform to address various challenges and evaluate case studies that influence policy-makers in developing relevant skills to strengthen their communications.  New strategies to promote and restore confidence in public relations; Achieving organizational global media competitiveness; and Building and implementing communications system in Dubai Government are among the topics discussed by the speakers.

Awards were presented to Public Relations practitioners in the region for their outstanding contribution and initiatives that shaped the communications sector in the region. The winners were evaluated by a panel of experts, and announced at the event.
