Dubai - Ducab, the regional leader in cabling and cable accessories, has launched a new line of flexible panel wires suitable for switches, control, metering, relay and instrumentation panels of power switchgear. Adhering to local standards defined by the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology, and to global standards as set by BASEC, the 'DuPan' range offers multiple configurations, capacities, and colours.
The new DuPan line was launched by Mohammed Abdul Rahman Al Mutawa, Ducab's Chief Commercial Officer, during an event at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Shailendra Pratap Singh, Country Sales Manager, Ducab, and Rohini Bhattacharyya, Technical Manager, Ducab, also participated in the event.
Al Mutawa said: "Ducab has been at the forefront of the cabling industry across the globe, with our products directly benefiting millions of people across the region. With the DuPan range, we are using our expertise and experience in large-scale projects to the advantageof the individual user."
K. Krishna Kumar, Managing Director of Zoomlux Lighting, attended the event to learn more about the new DuPan cable line. He said: "It is exciting for the industry in the UAE to see Ducab catering to our specific cabling needs for the first time. With Ducab's history for providing quality, industry-specific products, and its position as a regional market leader, this is a very strong step to encourage more panel and luminaire builders to buy UAE-made components."
Ducab's 'DuPan' range of flexible panel wires are made as per BS 6231 Type CK. The cables are intended for use with AC voltage up to 600V or DC voltage up to 1000V. They are also suitable for internal connections in rectifier equipment and its motor starters and controllers. In keeping with Ducab's focus on flame-resistance and flame-retardant cables, the DuPan range is suitable for continuous operating temperature of 90°C, with a 105°C variant available on special request. The range is typically available with class 5 flexible copper conductor, and tinned conductor is available on request.
To familiarise partners, distributors and retailers to the new product line, Ducab hosted a DuPan launch event in Dubai. Mohammed Abdul Rahman Al Mutawa addressed the gathering, and officially launched the range in the market. This event gave Ducab's partners the opportunity to get familiar with the product and learn from and interact with senior leadership and product experts from the company.

Environment-friendly processes will be employed within the mill, and liquid aluminum will be supplied from the EMAL smelter in Taweelah, Abu Dhabi.
