Food Court and Healthcare Services Available to Community

Dubai-UAE: 23 August, 2011 - Dubai Properties Group (DPG), a member of Dubai Holding, today announced a multi-cuisine food court as well as dedicated healthcare services are the latest facilities to be introduced at the Nuzul staff accommodation.

In order to provide healthcare services, DPG has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jebel Ali Hospital, part of Lifeline Healthcare, the Dubai-headquartered healthcare group. The services will be extended to all Nuzul residents.

Under the agreement, the hospital will provide a comprehensive range of medical care at its Jebel Ali facility, including transport for those in need of medical care. Additionally, doctors will conduct health awareness sessions at the community. Initiated by DPG's CSR team, the DPG-Jebel Ali Hospital tie-up comes as part of the group's 'Responsible Living' campaign.

The new food court is designed to cater to the multinational workforce at Nuzul and offer cuisines from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the Philippines, among others. Managed by Aboobacker Mohammed of the Regency Group, the creation of the retail area aims to ensure the provision of adequate facilities for residents to enjoy their daily meals in comfort, alongside the convenience of easy access to a range of community-friendly amenities.

Nuzul has been developed as a benchmark community that aims to provide a healthy living, working and leisure environment for its tenants. It features dedicated recreation and entertainment areas, supermarket, retail outlets and a mosque. A clinic, pharmacy, emergency treatment room, game rooms, library and an internet café are in the pipeline.

The Nuzul community was carefully planned to enable business owners to better accommodate their workforce. Located in Jebel Ali Industrial Area 1, it provides easy connectivity to Sheikh Zayed Road, Emirates Road and other main highways. The community can house up to 10,000 skilled residents and provides an enhanced lifestyle for Dubai's workforce with 2,230 rooms in 13 buildings, on a built-up area of 92,000 sq. ft. Under the supervision of Community Manager Engineer Hassan Ali Taher, Nuzul has set a benchmark for staff housing in Dubai.
