DUBAI, 3rd July, 2015 (WAM) -- Supplier Relationship Management at Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has organised the first Mini Cricket Tournament for DEWA?s suppliers. 20 corporate teams, including DEWA?s Cricket Team took part in the tournament, which was organised at InSportz Clun in Al Quoz 3 in Dubai.

The tournament supports DEWA?s strategy to build solid relationships and enhance cooperation with its suppliers. The tournament was held in a festive atmosphere, where everyone had fun. A large number of participating companies? staff took part in a bowling tournament that was held in conjunction with the Cricket Tournament.

"The idea to organise the Cricket Tournament was proposed at a brainstorming session that DEWA organised for its staff earlier this year. The idea was well-received and welcomed by senior management, as it complements DEWA?s strategy to launch programmes and initiatives that contribute to the happiness of all stakeholders and increase their satisfaction levels. Organising such activities creates motivating and effective environment for all stakeholders. This in turn, reflects positively on job performance and services," said Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA.

Al Tayer awarded the trophy to General Electric Middle East?s team, which won the tournament.
