Dubai, UAE, 5 August 2017: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has awarded contracts to design, manufacture, test and supply 1,570 cast resin distribution transformers, with capacities of 11/0.4kV, and 1,000 and 1,500 kVA equipped with low-voltage smart meters, to a number of leading specialist international institutions. This is part of DEWA’s ongoing efforts to meet various requirements to expand the electricity distribution network, and provide its services reliably, efficiently and availably to world-class standards. The contracts are worth approximately AED 129.55 million.

“These transformers will increase the capacity, efficiency and reliability of the electricity distribution network in Dubai, to ensure a continuous and stable supply of power to all stakeholders. All the transformers will be delivered by April 2018,” added Al Tayer.
