JEDDAH -- The Ministry of Haj and Umrah has put a ceiling on the low-cost Haj package, which should not exceed SR4,132 for class (A-1) category.
The package includes train services.

The class A-2 category package rate is SR4,070 and that for Class B category is SR4,007. The class C category package costs SR3,882, class D costs SR3,757 and class E SR3,532.

The ceiling for the reduced Haj last year was SR5,250 which has been reduced by SR1,118 this year.

According to ministry's instructions, an amount of SR250 will be deduced from the total cost if it does not include train services.

The ministry's domestic Haj booking portal provides three options to intending pilgrims: Normal fare, low fare, and moyassur (easy).

In normal fare package pilgrim get different levels of services. Low cost Haj package is the most economical among the services. In moyassur accommodation is provided in Makkah instead of Mina camps.

The ministry has allotted each operator a plot of 48 square meters free of charge for setting up its office, a medical clinic and the service area.

The price for the first category in the general program ranges from SR7,546 to SR8,146, while it is between SR7,895 and SR7,295 for the second category and SR6,493 and SR5,893 for the third category.

The price for the tower category (pilgrims who will be accommodated in buildings in Mina) will be SR11,890.
