The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a partnership agreement with The Global Franchise Market Ltd. (TGFM) to organize the "Ajman Franchising, Brands & Retail Expo 2017", reflecting the objectives of the Ajman Chamber to strengthen its role in supporting and sustaining the franchise sector.

The agreement was signed by H.E. Abdullah Al Muwajai, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber and by Eng. Anas Al Madani, Vice- Chairman and Group CEO of INDEX Holding, on behalf of The Global Franchise Market, at the headquarters of the Ajman Chamber.

The signing ceremony was attended by: H.E. Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of  Ajman Chamber, Mr. Jassim Al-Bastaki, CEO of Franchise Souq, and Mr. Paul Wilson, ‎Executive Director, Planning, Business Development, International Relations - ‎INDEX Holding.

On the sidelines of the signing ceremony, H.E. Abdullah Al-Muwajai welcomed the attendees, stressing on the fact that the Franchise sector has become one of the fastest growing economic sectors. He reaffirmed the fact that franchising is a popular destination for many young entrepreneurs looking to start their own business. Franchising is also the foundation stone for expanding existing businesses and to open new branches inside and outside the UAE, according to Al-Muwajai.

The Chairman of the Ajman Chamber praised the directive of the UAE wise leadership to provide means to support entrepreneurs and small businesses by both developing and sustaining their projects and to help overcome all the obstacles facing new projects and to direct all the official entities to provide their full support to entrepreneurs. He also added that this agreement abides by and supports the Ajman Vision 2021.

From his side, H.E. Salem Al-Suwaidi, Director General, Ajman Chamber, stated that the board members of the Ajman Chamber are keen to always support the franchising sector with a vision to promote the national trademarks and to encourage business-owners and successful projects to franchise their products and services. He stressed on the fact that Ajman already has several brands by local entrepreneurs that can be turned into franchises in near future. According to Al-Suwaidi, the Ajman Chamber strives to organize and participate in many local and international events that aim to introduce and educate the UAE business leaders about the Franchise sector, and to help the SME to identify available investment opportunities.

From her side, Jameela Ahmed Kajoor, Director of SMEs Support Department, at Ajman Chamber commented on the agreement saying: "The role of the chamber doesn't stop only on just organizing local and international events that support the franchise sector, but it also facilitates partnership deals and works on building business ties between government and private entities to support the "franchise" sector, both locally and internationally.

She has also commended on the leading role of The Global Franchise Market, Ltd. and its expertise in supporting the franchise sector and ensured that this partnership agreement will definitely be of great benefit to the Ajman Chamber in supporting young entrepreneurs and business leaders in the franchise industry.

From his side, Eng. Anas Al Madani, Vice- Chairman and Group CEO of INDEX Holding, and representative of The Global Franchise Market Ltd., was delighted to sign the agreement that combines TGFM and Ajman Chamber. Eng. Anas commented on the signing agreement saying: "We thrive through our expertise in organizing events dedicated for trademark, franchise and retail sectors to raise awareness, especially among the emerging young entrepreneurs and to help them find investment opportunities thereby introducing them to the best methods of marketing franchise and brand registration in the UAE and abroad."

Eng.
