BEIRUT, Jun 02, 2010 (AFP) - Four Lebanese activists detained during an Israeli raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla this week are set to be freed on Wednesday, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said.

"A delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross has officially been requested to repatriate four Lebanese, who had been aboard the flotilla, at the Naqura border crossing around 7:00 PM (1600 GMT) tonight," Brigitte Meng Comninos, the ICRC communications officer in Lebanon, told AFP.

The four are Abbas Hussein Hassan Nasser, Hussein Mohammed Shukur, Andre Abi Khalil and Hani Hussein Sleiman, who was injured in the raid.

"Hani Sleiman has been visited by our delegation in the hospital and he's in a position to be repatriated," Meng Comninos said.

Sleiman had spoken with his wife and would be met by an ambulance and a doctor for the trip home, she added.

Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, which fought a devastating war with Israel in 2006, is also scheduled to hold a demonstration later Wednesday near the border with the Jewish state to protest the raid.

At least nine people were killed when Israeli commandos stormed an aid flotilla attempting to approach the Gaza coast shortly before dawn on Monday.

Israel detained hundreds of activists who were attempting to break the blockade and has vowed to stop other Gaza-bound ships despite a global outcry over its raid.
