MUSCAT -- Arabian Maritime and Navigation Aids Services (AMNAS) got a major contract by Consolidated Contractors Company Oman (CCC) to provide and install Navigation Aids for the Port of Duqm.
The project will be accomplished in two phases. Phase one will be conducted in August 2010 and phase two will be completed by December 2010.
Arabian Maritime and Navigation Aids Services (AMNAS) is a national private Aids to Navigation (A to N) service provider with 99 per cent of the staff being Omanis. Working under the direction of its Chairman, His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tareq al Said, the company has the exclusive right and privilege of operating the service under a long-term concession agreement with the government of the Sultanate of Oman.
As part of its continuous growth and achievements AMNAS has successfully achieved eight contracts in 2009 and has up to date successfully achieved seven contracts for the year 2010.
AMNAS remains committed to fulfilling its responsibilities and obligations to full international standards. In doing so it maintains its prime objective to keep mariners safe in all Omani waters.
