BAGHDAD: The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) disclosed today that 15 Arab and foreign banks opened their branches during the last three months of this year.

The sources said that the policy of the CBI is encouraging foreign banks to open branches or participation in the capitals of local banks.

It was also announced that the CBI withdrew the license of an Arab banking institution for violating CBI regulations.
