Dubai, UAE - du is pleased to announce its third Cyber Security Conference, which will be held on October 9, 2016 at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai.  The event this year will bring together eminent national, regional and international personalities and businesses, and will address cyber security threats as an incumbent urgency in emerging markets. The primary aim of the event is to support the UAE government in its transformation to a smart government by highlighting information security challenges in smart cities and other national initiatives, among others. Partner sponsors of the event include Huawei and presenting sponsors will include Cisco, HP, IBM, Nokia and Oracle.

A panel of international experts will speak at the Cyber Security Conference, including Governor Tom Ridge, Former Assistant to the President for Homeland Security; Wesam Lootah. Chief Executive Officer at Dubai Smart Government, David Francis, Huawei CSO in Europe, Giuseppe Targia, VP Application & Analytics Security and IoT, Nokia and more.

This year, the event will once again host the popular hackathon with the aim of encouraging youth participation in the cyber security arena by encouraging Ethical Hacking. The event will provide a safe learning environment for young hackers, test their skills and challenge them in a competitive environment, and encourage them with a AED20,000 cash prize.

The du Cyber Security Conference promotes the sharing information about the latest developments in cyber security, including information security risks, threats, vulnerabilities and safeguards. During its last two editions, Cyber Security Conference hosted a group of local, regional and global keynote speakers representing leading names in various key sectors.
