// Correction in headline and first paragraph "Fifth Meeting" instead of "Second" // MADRID, 24th May, 2017 (WAM) -- The fifth meeting of political consultations between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Spain was held yesterday at the Spanish Foreign Ministry in Madrid.
The meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and Ildefonso Castro Lopez, Spanish Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. During the consultations, the two sides discussed means of boosting political cooperation between the two countries on bilateral and international levels as well as exchanging views on international and regional issues. The parties held a minute of silence condemning the terrorist attack in Manchester, and expressed their condolences to the victims' families, stressing the solidarity of the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Spain with the United Kingdom.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2017.
