CAIRO, June 28 (Reuters) - Egypt's parliament approved the government's 2016-17 draft budget, state news agency MENA reported on Tuesday, but sent it to the Council of State before it could be officially adopted.

"The government should have sent the draft budget to the Council of State first and since the government did not do so we must fix this constitutional error," Speaker Ali Abdelaal said.
