Taking its philanthropic message to a Digital platform, Eshraqa, The Khimji Ramdas Social Development Arm, has launched its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) website www.eshraqa.om. Visitors to the CSR website will now be able to gain quick and easy access to view Eshraqa’s latest initiatives, including its current projects & upcomingevents that impact Omani communities at large.

The website is a reflection of Eshraqa’s unique name which in Arabic means ‘The glow from the rays of the dawn or morning sun’ to symbolise new beginnings and hope. Its design takes inspiration from Oman’s rich cultural heritage to reinforce Eshraqa’s strong commitment to the local community.

The website is a ready reference for visitors to learn more about Eshraqa’s values, mission and vision.  The key objectives of Eshraqa fall under three main pillars – Education, Health and Community Wellbeing.

Commenting on the CSR website launch, Nailesh Khimji, Director, KR said, “Eshraqa is governed by its moral commitment to empower the people of Oman by providing access to means that help them achieve their fullest potential; by ensuring access to proper infrastructure, providing equal opportunities across diverse social strata, with the aim to help develop the Omani Community at large, inspire the Omani Youth and empower Omani Women in particular.”

Commenting on the 3 pillars of Education, Health and Community Wellbeing, Nailesh Khimji added, “Khimji Ramdas aims to be a significant contributor in the Educational sector by enhancing the knowledge, skills and capabilities among children and youth. Taking on the mantle of care to the wider Omani community, we have stepped forward to support the nationwide healthcare programs involving research and intervention, as well as help in improving medical facilities, especially in the interiors

Community Wellbeing pillar will be one of Eshraqa’s major priorities. The focuswill be on enhancing & enriching the lives of the Omani communities, by directing efforts to one Wilayat at one time for a period of approximately 2 years. In 2015-2016 the majority of our CSR projects were executed in Samail Wilayat. In the coming years, Eshraqa will mainly focus on the Izki and Bidbid Wilayats.

The company with its inclusive approach would update the website it’s with the current CSR projects happening simultaneously across the Sultanate. www.eshraqa.omgives easy access to Maps in its home page which showcases vividly the various projects undertaken by the company in the last 3 years.

Inspiring videos are a must see on the Eshraqa website. “Proud to be Omani Films”showcasing KR’s own Omani employees reaching greater heights in life, with a sensitive film on the support rendered to “Basmat Kheir team of volunteers in Samail”, a woman empowerment initiative are some of the highlights of this website.
