ADEN, 19th June, 2017 (WAM) -- The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) distributed Eid clothes in several villages of the Yemeni governorate of Lahij to ease the suffering of thousands of families during the festival period.

The distribution of clothes was organised within the framework of the UAEs leading humanitarian campaign to supports its Yemeni brethren and friends in their adversity and under the directives of the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The ERC brought smiles on the faces of the children living in these villages and gave them joy during the difficult circumstances caused by the policies of the Houthi and Saleh militias, who have brought destruction and inflicted misery on the Yemeni people.

The villages where the Eid clothes were distributed included the Al Subaiha Al Mudaraba villages, namely Al Baraka, Eshat Al Haj, Dithara, Haji Fiya, Al Hazeen, Al Mira, Fari Ghanem, Al Hamra, Al Mousna, Hajat Al Nakhla, Hasab Al Mubaizaq, Hasab Al Aql, Al Foor Ghour, Kouma, and Al Nabeeq.

The villagers expressed their thanks for the efforts and noble initiatives of the UAEs leadership, its government and the people involved, stressing that what the ERCs delegation did to communicate with them and deliver the Eid clothes proved their dedication and their sincere efforts in sharing in the suffering and helping them to recover.
