Abu Dhabi invites bids for low-income housing project

Abu Dhabi City Municipality had earlier launched an affordable housing initiative

The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport, Al Dhafra Region Municipality, Abu Dhabi has invited companies to construct a residential project for low-income families and bachelors in Zayed City, Al Dhafra.

According to a tender invite, the last date of document collection is 7 September 2017, while the final date of submission is 17 October 2017. The tender document can be purchased for a non-refundable fee of 1,500 UAE dirhams ($409).

Companies interested in bidding will have to submit a tender bid of 500,000 UAE dirhams, the invite said without giving details of the project.

Earlier this month, the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport - Abu Dhabi City Municipality had launched an affordable housing initiative for low-income families and bachelors, with rents between 917 UAE dirhams and 1,563 UAE dirhams per month.
