SHARJAH, 18th June, 2017 (WAM) -- H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, UoS, attended on Saturday, the graduation ceremony of 525 students of the UoS colleges of Medicine and Health Sciences, at the University Hall on Saturday evening.
The ceremony was held in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed underscored the important role that the graduates play in UAE society. During the graduation ceremony, H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan said the colleges of Medicine and Health Sciences have developed a plan to become one of the greatest monuments, regionally and globally. He affirmed that these unceasing developments continuously help to attract scientists, researchers and specialists from throughout the world. He also congratulated the graduates, parents, and teaching staff, who spared no effort in qualifying the graduates to address the requirements of life. Following the rendition of the UAE National Anthem and the recital of verses from the Quran, Professor Hamid M. Al-Naimiy, Chancellor of the UoS, lauded H.H. Dr. Sheikhs efforts in honouring the graduates. He further pointed out that the University has provided an ideal educational environment for students of the Medicine and Health Sciences college. The graduation ceremony was attended by Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Rulers office, Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, Brigadier General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, Abdulla Ali Al Mahyan, Chairman of Sharjah Health Authority, Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, Head of Protocol and Hospitality Department, as well as the members of the Board of Trustees and the administrative and teaching bodies at the University.
