Muscat: Royal Hospital has launched a virtual clinic service that enables patients to communicate with a physician remotely by phone to assess the situation and make an appropriate treatment plan.

This service is currently available to some medical specialties as per a physician’s assessment.

This service provides an opportunity for a greater number of patients to communicate with the doctor, especially those who are difficult to attend because of the distance or any other reasons.

The service is carried out by sending a text message at the time and day of the virtual clinic to alert the patient to receive a conversation from the specialist doctor using a secure application that guarantees the patient’s privacy and a number documented in the name of the virtual clinic for the hospital.
