UAE – Mubasher: Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) has signed a one-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Microsoft to support the Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus (Dtec).

Under the agreement, Dubai Silicon Oasis has appointed Microsoft as a strategic partner of Dtec, the largest technology hub in MENA, to provide it with solutions and technology that help in achieving the hub’s objective of encouraging high-potential UAE startups.

At the same time, Dtec’s startups will benefit from the ‘Selected Startups’ programme, run by Microsoft.

Commenting on the agreement, the CFO and executive vice president for technology and entrepreneurship at DSOA, William Chappell, said: “Microsoft is a leader in the industry and a pioneer in innovative technologies. Its mission to empower businesses to achieve more makes the company an ideal mentor for Dtec’s startups.”

Meanwhile, the managing director of Microsoft for startups, Roberto Croci, remarked: “Our work with their DTEC Campus will ensure that startups get the strongest possible support as they join the economy, innovate, and create jobs.”
