National Bank of Bahrain (NBB), in line with its ongoing journey of transformation, announced new and digital services to continue enhancing and streamlining the banking experience for customers.

Amongst the new services now available at NBB branches is instant debit card issuance, where customers can immediately receive their new or replaced card during their visit to a branch. Newly issued cards have also been upgraded to be contactless, leveraging Near Field Communication (NFC) to enable customers to tap and pay at local and international NFC enabled point-of-sale machines such as NBB’s.

The recently revamped debit cards include a ‘Personal’ card and two Platinum Mastercard product upgrades available for the Bank’s ‘Premium’ and ‘Prestige’ clients.

Subah Al Zayani, head of retail banking at NBB, said: “We’re extremely pleased to announce the rollout of many new initiatives aimed at providing our clients with an elevated and more engaging customer journey throughout their banking lifecycle. NBB will continue its customer-centric approach as part of its commitments towards delivering the best value and most diverse range of products and services for its clients.”

Manal Meshal, head of customer proposition and liabilities at NBB, added: “Customers can receive a personalised banking experience based on their financial relationship with the Bank. ‘Premium’ and ‘Prestige’ clients of NBB are entitled to exclusive service and product offerings. The “Executive Lounge” located at flagship branches, with the first having been launched at the Seef Mall, is there to serve clients with an exceptional service suitable to their banking needs.” - TradeArabia News Service
