Cairo – The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) on Wednesday signed an agreement with international oilfield services company Schlumberger.

Under the agreement, Schlumberger will support Egypt’s oil ministry and its subsidiaries in the field of sustainable development, according to a statement.

The pact also provides for support in structuring and the promotion of sustainability initiatives in the Egyptian oil sector.

It is noteworthy that the agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS 2020), which is held on 11-13 February at the Egypt International Exhibition Center.

The three-day event is expected to attract 30,000 visitors, 1,600 delegates, 270 speakers, and 450 exhibitors.
