Dubai – Mubasher: Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) has partnered with Smart Dubai to launch a new paperless property rental platform, powered by blockchain technology, to handle business processes among four connected UAE entities.

The platform will connect Smart Dubai Government Establishment (SDGE), a technology arm of the Smart Dubai, with Al Wasl Group, Dubai Land Department (DLD), and Emirates NBD, according to a recent press release.

du and SDGE have established a multi-purpose Dubai Pulse to offer secure analytic, big data, and compute and storage services to various government entities.

The new paperless property rental platform is the UAE's first locally hosted blockchain service, which has been built for Al Wasl Group and is operational on du Blockchain Edge and Dubai Smart Pulse.

The Chief New Business and Innovation Officer of du, Farid Faraidooni, said: "Through proactivity and productivity, we continue to make sustained progress in delivering business excellence and innovation, enhancing the lives of residents and delivering new value to communities across the country."

Meanwhile, the CEO of the SDGE, Wesam Lootah, commented: "By working together to achieve our shared aspirations, we have succeeded in propelling users into an exciting new chapter of ease and convenience, one which will contribute to better quality of life for decades to come."
