AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Tuesday received 113 Hummer vehicles through the Aqaba port as part of JAF’s plans for development and modernisation to enhance its military capabilities, the JAF director for planning and organisation said on Wednesday.

The director said that this is the first batch of the vehicles that will be provided to various JAF units through direct purchase, be it through manufacturing companies or cooperation programmes with “brotherly and friendly” countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Some of these vehicles were transported to JAF warehouses on Tuesday and the remaining vehicles will be transferred over the coming days.
