The two day UK Education Expo which opened yesterday was inaugurated by H.E. Sayyid Salim bin Musallam al Busaidi, Undersecretary for Administrative Development Affairs, Ministry of Civil Services (MoCS). Among the esteemed guests at the inauguration ceremony were Mr. Jonathan Wilks, British Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Alastair Long - Deputy Head of Mission, Alison Young-Commercial Attaché, Lola Lam-Commercial Attaché from UK Trade & Investment, Mr. Said Amur al Rahbi, Director of Qualifications, Equivalence and Recognition, Bregje van Baaren, Researcher and Liaison from Ministry of Higher Education. The inauguration was also graced by several officials and delegates from various ministries, local universities & colleges and professionals from the education sector.

Held at the InterContinental Hotel Muscat, the Expo invited those interested in studying in the UK to explore the wide range of courses available and meet representatives from universities, higher education institutions and English language course providers.

The UK Education Expo is supported by the UK Trade & Investment, British Embassy Muscat and Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry - Dhofar Governorate and is organised by Al Nimr Expo and in association with Al Ahlam Higher Education Services - Oman's leading UK student counselling service agency licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education.

The UK Education Expo moves to Salalah from 25-26 March 2015 at Hilton Salalah Resort and will remain open for visitors from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
