Saudi and US discuss efforts to confront Iran

WASHINGTON: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and US President Donald Trump discussed efforts to confront Iran, said a Saudi statement.

The two sides also reviewed the latest situation in Yemen, stressing the importance of finding a political solution to the Yemeni crisis.

The Saudi statement said that President Trump renewed his country's historic commitment to the security and stability of Saudi Arabia, adding that cooperation between Washington and Riyadh would contribute to the success of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The Saudi statement also added that bilateral commercial dealings between the US and the kingdom of Saudi Arabia would create employment opportunities in both countries.
