Riyadh: Saudi Telecom Company (STC) on Wednesday said that its subsidiary STC Solutions signed a partnership agreement with Microsoft at GITEX Technology Week 2018 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

The five-day event, launched on 14 October and would wrap up on Thursday, 18 October, focuses on startups, artificial intelligence (AI) and all cutting-edge technologies and experiences that benefit the masses.

Cooperation with the US software conglomerate is part of STC’s growth strategy which focuses on digital services, cybersecurity, and cloud computing solutions in an effort to cope with Saudi Vision 2030, according to an official statement.

In 2017, STC’s unit was the most important partner for Microsoft that provides cloud computing and cybersecurity services in the oil-rich Kingdom.
