Sharjah: Rafid Automotive Solutions, a joint venture between Sharjah Asset Management – the investment arm of the Government of Sharjah – and OWS Auto, recently signed an agreement with Arabian Gulf Mechanical Centre (AGMC), the official BMW Group importer for Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates

The agreement authorizes Rafid to manage transport of vehicles from AGMC’s showrooms to different locations across the UAE, as well as move vehicles to and from customers in the emirate of Sharjah.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Regional Director of AGMC and attended by Ayhan Olcer, CEO of AGMC, Dean Christopher Coulson, COO of Rafid Automotive Solutions and Oweis Zahran, Managing Partner at Rafid Automotive Solutions.

“It is a pleasure to partner with AGMC, the official BMW Group importer for Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates. At Rafid, we take pride in being known for providing quality and innovative automotive solutions, building strategic partnerships and utilizing the latest technologies & trends in the industry. We are certain that this partnership will help us successfully strengthen our operations and help us deliver better solutions in the long-run,” Coulson said.

Ayhan Olcer, CEO of AGMC, said: “Our aim at AGMC is to consistently provide a seamless experience for our customers and we are incredibly proud to be working with Rafid on this partnership, which will ensure that AGMC is able to better serve its customers in as efficient a manner as possible.”

In August 2018, Rafid added fully electric BMW i3s to its fleet of vehicles to address the increasing traffic accidents across the Emirate of Sharjah. Thanks to AGMC, Rafid is the first company in Sharjah to undertake this initiative, which aims to reduce harmful emissions and contribute to sustainable development goals and promote environmental sustainability.
