ArabFinance: Egypts government plans to double the number of natural gas filling stations by the end of 2021, Al Mal News cited Oil Minister Tarek El Molla.

The government targets a total of 1,000 natgas stations by the end of the running year under a government-backed program to expand natgas refuelling infrastructure.

The step follows the countrys moves forward with its plan to convert or replace gasoline-fueled cars.

Previously, the government targeted a total of 550 natgas stations by the end of 2021, which would have required establishing an additional 325 stations this year.
