Cairo –   Remittances from Egyptian expatriates increased by $1.2 billion or 12.1% year-on-year during the first five months of fiscal year 2019/2020, data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) showed

Remittances from Egyptians living abroad amounted to $11.1 billion during the July-November period of 2019, compared to $9.9 billion in the year-ago period, the CBE said on Sunday.

During November 2019, remittances from Egyptian expatriates rose by $128.9 million or 6.8% year-on-year to $2 billion from $1.9 billion.
