Tehran - Iran's exports of non-oil commodities increased by 62 percent in the first quarter of the Iranian calendar year (started March 21).

Iranian official with Road and Urban Development Department Faramarz Madah said that the performance of the country's road transportation indicates that Bazargan border region with 22 percent ranks first followed by Milak with 20 percent and Astara with 11 percent. 

Madah also said that the number of transit trucks passing through Bazargan border was 65 percent of the total number. 

"A sum of 20.36 tons of goods were exported from Iran in the first quarter of the current Iranian year which showed a 62 percent rise as compared with last year's corresponding period," he added.
