DUBAI- Dubai Customs has signed an agreement with the Al Tadawi Healthcare Group, under which the group will provide Dubai Customs’ employees at the main building with full medical services.

The step is part of Dubai Custom's efforts to provide employees with high quality healthcare, and contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rashid Al Sharid, CEO, Administration and Finance Division at Dubai Customs; and Marwan Ibrahim Haji Nasser, Chairman and Managing Director of the Al Tadawi Healthcare Group, signed the agreement.

A team of physicians, specialists and nurses will be available at Dubai Customs’ clinic to provide healthcare services in all specialties.

"Dubai Customs takes the safety, health and happiness of its employees very seriously, following the directives and vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai," said Al Sharid. "This step will enable employees do their job efficiently without any psychological or health hindrances. Better health for our employees is gaining even more importance nowadays with the spread of the pandemic."

He added, "We want to ensure top healthcare service is easily accessible by each employee. This service will work in tandem with Tawazun (Balance) programme, which the Department launched to provide psychological support to the employees during the pandemic. Needless to say, human capital is the biggest and most important asset we have and the main factor of success in the UAE within our bold plans to lead and stand out, including the UAE Centennial 2071 Plan." For his part, Nasser expressed his pride for this fruitful partnership with Dubai Customs, and said they will be eager to provide the best healthcare services to the employees in support of the national development plans towards a healthier and happier society and a more prosperous economy.
