Four inspirational female business leaders in the Middle East shed light on their experiences, inspirations, and challenges in the financial sector that have helped shape their journeys to leadership, at a Jersey Finance hosted event Women in Leadership: A View from the Top, hosting over 65 attendees.

The webinar was led by An Kelles, Jersey Finance’s Director, GCC, and featured keynote speakers Heather Henyon, the founding partner of Mindshift Capital, Farida Azarioh General Manager, Intertrust Dubai, Heba Al Emara Managing Director Vistra Middle East, and Midya Omar Manager at MENA EY Private.

The discussion highlighted women’s growing role in the business-led investments in the region, the importance of attracting millennial and next-gen women into finance, the role of education, the strong performance of female fund managers, and the importance of leveraging leadership positions and platforms to drive social change.

Commenting on the event, An Kelles, Director GCC, at Jersey Finance, said:

“The UAE has become home to talented women who actively contribute to shaping the country’s financial future with many local women expanding the horizons of the Middle East’s financial culture by working to preserve wealth for future generations. This is why Jersey Finance continues to invest in knowledge exchange platforms that add value to the local community.

“In celebrating the success of these four inspirational women at today’s event, Jersey Finance is providing a platform not just to empower female entrepreneurship, but also to help create an entire ecosystem for female-led business investments across multiple sectors and regions.”

The Perspectives: Women in Leadership Series follows Jersey Finance’s highly successful “Women in leadership” event series which took place across the GCC region.
