Abu Dhabi: The Retail Abu Dhabi (RAD) Season, recently launched by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), continues to thrill residents and visitors alike with unbeatable retail, entertainment and hospitality deals across the emirate.

Set to run till 5th February, the new initiative was launched in December 2018, as part of DCT Abu Dhabi’s mandate to provide unparalleled experiences and offerings across a range of sectors, and further position the emirate as an attractive global destination of distinction.

The ‘Code Red Sale’ launched as part of the RAD Season and featuring more than 650 participating retailers and 18 malls in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, has witnessed a surge of happy shoppers enjoying discounts of up to 90% off normal retail prices with the code red sales. The offers continue to run for the duration of RAD, with exciting daily, weekly and monthly prizes also up for grabs at a number of select shopping malls.   Farah Al Bakoush, Festivals Development Section Manager for Abu Dhabi Events Bureau at DCT Abu Dhabi said: "The Department is keen to launch the promotional offers and marketing campaigns that will enhance the experience of visitors, citizens and residents in Abu Dhabi, in a variety of sectors. This will strengthen the capital’s position as an exceptional tourist destination.

“RAD underscores the strong partnership between the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi and the city’s shopping centers, hospitality and entertainment sectors. These sectors have shown successful results across a variety of campaigns and promotions, throughout the year and in different seasons. These campaigns are achieving our objectives in enhancing customers’ satisfaction and revitalizing the retail sector.” he added.

Sports enthusiasts can also enjoy some world-class football action. The AFC Asian Cup tournament, which kicked off on the 5th of January, will continue to entertain football fans until 1st February.

Anyone seeking a spectacular cultural experience can head to the Bayreuth Festival’s overseas opera debut of Richard Wagner’s The Valkyrie, which is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates on 30th January and 1st February at Emirates Palace.

Also as part of RAD’s Really Awesome Deals, they are giving away prizes everyday on their Instagram account @radseasonae. 20 lucky winners will win credit worth 100 dirhams each from Careem!
