More than 500 shops in Dubai's Gold Souq located in Deira, have reopened following comprehensive sterilization campaign.

The reopening of the shops has taken place amid strict precautionary measures to ensure everyone's safety and well-being and the announcement regarding the same has been made on the Dubai Media Office official Twitter account.

Deira Gold Souk opened on April 26, 2020. The details regarding the same were issued in a trade circular from the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG).

Following similar guidelines issued for the reopening of malls, high-street outlets and souqs in Dubai, Deira Gold Souk had been allowed to operate under certain conditions. Stores and offices in the area were asked to be cleaned and sanitised prior to reopening, the circular said.
