Riyadh –  The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority’s (SAMA) assets increased by 1.77% year-on-year, or over SAR 34.177 billion in May.

SAMA’s assets went up to SAR 1.965 trillion ($520 billion) in May, compared to SAR 1.931 trillion ($510 billion) in the year-ago period, according to the monthly bulletin by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).

Month-on-month, assets rose 2.37% in May from SAR 1.919 trillion in April.

SAMA’s holdings of overseas securities levelled down to SAR 1.191 trillion in May versus SAR 1.208 trillion in April.
