UAE –   The UAE has been one of the best providers of banking services for People of Determination (PoD) as it follows the world’s PoD optimum practices.

The GCC state leads the Middle East region in terms of offering smart financial solutions for the PoD, according to a press release.

A number of banks in the UAE have launched services for PoD to perform normal banking transactions independently without any struggles.

The third edition of AccessAbilities Expo (AAE), organised by Reed Exhibitions Middle East and Nadd Al Shiba PR, is expected to introduce the latest technology for PoD to conduct normal banking and financial transactions as part of a vision to make the UAE friendly for PoD.

New PoD-friendly technologies will be showcased in the expo to be held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) from 5 to 7 November.

“Synchronised Business Solutions (SBS) will be showcasing DOT Mini, the world’s first smart media device which enables visually impaired people to read and communicate with the world via the Braille,” the release noted.

DOT Mini will help around 285 million blind and visually impaired people worldwide to conduct bank transactions completely by themselves.

Daniyal Qureshi, group exhibition director at Reed Exhibitions Middle East, said: “The UAE leads the Middle East in terms of providing the most innovative services for PoD.”

“The ability to function independently remains a priority for them and leading banks in the UAE like Emirates NBD, Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) and Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) are offering smart services to fulfil this requirement,” Qureshi added.
