Riyadh –   Number of subscribers in mobile telecommunication services in Saudi Arabia rose 4.5% in the first quarter of 2018, compared to Q4-17, Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) said.

Subscribers reached 42 million by the end of Q1-18, up from 40.2 million by the end of Q4-17, the CITC’s quarterly bulletin showed.

The Saudi telecom body’s bulletin further revealed that operating landlines hit 3.72 million by the end of Q1-18, compared to 3.64 million by the end of Q4-17.

The number of subscribers on broadband services through telecommunication networks hit 29.3 million by the end of Q1-18, versus 28.8 million subscribers by the end of Q4-17.
