Egyptian petroleum company Petrojet has been awarded a E£592-million ($33 million) contract for the consolidation and revamping of its container docks in the Damietta governorate of the Arab nation.

The contract, which was awarded by Egypt's Holding Company for Maritime & Land Transport, will be completed within the next two years, said a statement from Petrojet.

The company clinched the order for the revamp of the 1,500-m-long container docks after competing with five local and international offshore dredging companies, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
